גִּנּוּי
גִּנּוּיm. (גני, cmp. גְּנַאי) shame. Y.Yoma VI, 43c the order of confession is עוו פשעו חטאו in order not to mention גִּנּוּיָין של ישראל the shame of Israel (by bringing the name of Israel in direct connection with פשעו as the harshest of the three expressions).
